# Welcome to Palmyra

## What is Palmyra?

Palmyra.app is a one-stop-shop for commodity producers and buyers who are looking to simply connect, transact and settle global trade.  Our mission is to provide technology to underserved commodity markets to empower businesses. 

By offering innovative technologies such as blockchain and tokenization to underserved markets, we **create opportunities to leapfrog into the future, instead of simply catching up**. 

## Who can use Palmyra?

Our platform was created to provide value to a number of different users. For our first phase, we are focused on enabling commodity buyers and producers to connect easily and benefit from new emerging technologies. \

In the future, we will have a number of important stakeholders that can benefit from collaborating with or using Palmyra. Some of these include: financing institutions, insurers, inspection and audit service providers and regulators.
